Art by Davey in Film and Media Art by Davey has been involved in film
and media for the past few years in background casting. A natural progression from acting and dance on stage.
Most roles he has been cast for have been non-speaking Middle Eastern inspired or fashion based. The most controversial
of course, was the remake of the prisoner scenes of Abu Ghriab for Law & Order; where he had to sit in corner
while a live German Shepherd was barking at him as the camera shot each action pose. Art by Davey states, "For
this role I had to flashback to my childhood, when at an early age I was scratched in the face by a Dalmation, so I drew from
that fear...to me the most interesting roles to play on film are the most controversial...I was even willing to do the one
photograph where the prisoner was compeltely naked, but they felt it was too controversial...I guess I approach roles to give
my all; otherwise how else can your audience believe it"...Art by Davey is hoping to perform more of his dance skill
and speech on film.
